This is a reminder, please finish up your
Social Studies Globalization Debate Project. The deadline for this project is
23 February, Monday. Make sure that you have completed your work before you hand in to Mrs Jacob. In case you lost that piece of paper, the following are the topics, choose 1 out of the 3 topics:
1. Globalization is detrimental to developing countries.2. The greatest impact of globalization is environmental degradation.3. The best way for Singapore to deal with globalization is for our government-based and local companies to venture abroadInstructions:
Welcome to our first Social Studies Debate. Each team will have to pick a topic and decide if they are the proposition or opposition team. There should be
4 or 5 members in the team and each team will do the following:
1. Create a 8-10 pages powerpoint presentation. Each presentation slide needs to be in point form and supported with evidence/sources (photos/text)
2. 2 students to be the speakers
3. Remaining team members to refute and defend themselves during Q and A sessions
4. 3 minutes for mpresentation and 2 minutes for Q and A
